The Influence Map meme is proving to be absolute catnip to artists, and there is something about the format that is utterly infectious. If I had any picture editing software on my computer, I'd maybe even give it a go myself (though mine would be comprised entirely of booze labels, crisp packets, guitarists and dead novelists with gigantic beards). Here's some hotlinks to a few of my favourites that have been doing the rounds on Twitter and Deviant Art. Listed entirely in random order based only on the tabs in my browser running right to left as I composed this. So no sulking. I'm looking at you, Wynne.

like I'm going to sulk about being included in something like this. I'm a grumpy sod, but I'm not an egomaniac.
...hey, why's my one smaller than the others?
(thanks)
Whoops. Fixed.
This meme needs a dedicated website were you can upload your influences and have them searchable and indexable... Internet! Make it so!
These are cool - what a great idea!
BTW Mark, did you know your interview with Brendan McCarthy was quoted at Digital Spy?

Brilliant: great to see that 'un going viral. Maybe if we all click our heels together and wish hard enough, some of Brendan's pitches can become reality.
Great to see Geoff Senior getting some love on John Allison's map!
Hey,tanks! Tremendous/shocking to see my map on your blog - your blog which is bound to be quoted as an actual INFLUENCE sooner or later. I know I look at it enough. And now of course I am reviewing my map, noting the things I forgot, doing the HOW'D I MISS THAT game...curse you internet.
Yours was a particularly well laid out example of the form, and I couldn't resist because of that little Edgar D'Aulaire panel.
