Hey the line in the 3rd paragraph (i think it's called that) from the bottom about being dyswotsit is how i learned to read an write so imaginativley and still have no concept of what grammer is or it's proper use. God bless Tharg.
Haha, nice one. Now really, stop perpetuating lies, Mark.
i blew the money i got from 2000ad on drink. mind you, it was only one script and was the princely sum of £60. surprising really, as, looking back, the story was shit.
the plan at the time was alan moore route of future shocks and single episode stuff for 2000ad and the related annuals, and then get my own series. the better route would have been to have teamed up with some shithot artist who looked like he drew on drugs and self-publish the work.
but, hell yes! if i was doing the amount of work some of those guys are probably getting, i'd have moved to los angeles my now.
Dunno Geoff. Who's bigger in comics right now than Mark Millar, Bryan Hitch, Grant Morrison or Alan Moore? And those guys all pretty much live modestly in the UK. To live high on the hog from comics, you have to own a character and license it yourself for multimedia deals, like Kevin Eastman or Todd McFarlane. Probably at the end of the 80s/start of the 90s.
