Please, my childhood involved the Star Wars Holiday Special when it was originally aired -- and I've said it before, I still prefer that show to anything with Anakin Skywalker in it by a considerable margin.

I must confess, all the handwringing over Star Wars spinoffs helps me understand where Sean Witzke is coming from when he looks forward to the Trek movie. There's a definite schadenfreude about watching outraged fans who take the sanctity of their favorite thing so damn seriously get their knickers in a bunch...so long as you're watching it from outside.

Now, I'd pay good money to see Doctor Who: The Musical (a.k.a. How I Won The Time War) if you could promise me it wasn't by Lloyd Webber.

I dunno. Lloyd Webber, the BBC and John Barrowman seem pretty tight.
