I loved his blog, I loved those first couple of MAN-ELF comics he drew way back when, and it's pretty impossible to read the outpouring of love from the British comics community at Matt Brooker's blog and not feel moved.

Aw shucks, man.
In fact, it's only through Steve that I encountered virtually anyone else in the UK comics scene. As becomes plain from reading all those tribute threads, he was the guy who knew everyone and who everyone else wanted to know.
