Over at Film Ick, there's a script review I did for Rawson Marshall Thurber's adaptation of the Michael Chabon novel MYSTERIES OF PITTSBURGH. Note Brendon's humorous censoring of my potty mouth - "c*ck flavoured l*llip*p", indeed.

Hi, Mark--
Thanks for your review of THE MYSTERIES OF PITTSBURGH film script review... Though I feel you were far too kind.
I take full credit for leaking the script to Brendon, as the leader of the official MOP "boycott" on MySpace.
Check it out for more info...
Too kind? Well, I did say it made me angry, was wrong-headed, strived for the wrong tone entirely, etc! Maybe I was too soft on it - y'never know, one shouldn't go around burning ones bridges in Hollywood. Someone might want to option my blog eventually.
Excellent! You did inspire me to possibly read my first Chabon, Mark. Chabon lives here in the East Bay, and hearing the endless tales from various people claiming he wrote Kavalier and Clay on a laptop "right here, in our shop" and the Chabon/Waldman PR overload turned me sour on picking up any of his stuff. Cheers.
He's also apparently a very nice person, with well-behaved children. This tale I believe, as it came from a notoriously ornery and unstarry-eyed clerk at a bookshop he frequents.
If you bump into him, send him my best.
