THE SIMPSONS movie teaser trailer...

...apparently being shown before the abominable ICE AGE 2. Hope it's a damn sight better than that new episode Sky ran on Sunday, 'cus that was shit! Bring back Conan O'Brien!

Update! According to a rumour posted by "Krusty's nephew" over at AICN, the movie features "the return of all the original cast and writers", and has a plot revolving around "a goof by Homer at the power plant results in the government putting a dome over the city limits of Springfield". And thar ya go.

Oh, and a second, internet only (ie coarse as fuck) trailer for CLERKS II can be found here.

Yeah, a likeable episode, not neccessarily a funny one, though. The whole "story inside a story inside a story etc" format was at least new, and it did a couple of new things with old characters (Snake, Moe, even Burns). But it barely raised a chuckle in my house (sole laugh: Bart helping Nelson ransack the school science department hidden in the background of a set-up, then spraying the sorta-right "munch my ass" on the wall), and who's betting all those character developments won't all be ignored or written off as just elements introduced by the various unreliable narrative voices in the episode? Here's hoping they've been stockpiling all their best gags for the movie.

Other than that mini-blast of negativity, welcome to the blog Roosta!

You're all just Friends of Murdoch.
(Mutters enviously)

Has to be added that installing quicktime especially for this trailer isn't *really* worth it.

You're much safer going to http://southpark.dailybuzz.net/ and downloading the entire 9th series of southpark. Although it (like Viz) isn't anywhere near as funny as it used to be. Oh, and use Real Alternative not realplayer.

Well, most civilised people have Quicktime on their 'puter as part of the whole iTunes dillio. But thanks for the Real Alternative tip, Masked and Anonymous- I hates me some Real Player!

The Ricky Gervais episode was on here the weekend before last, but I missed it. Bugger.

Aren't a couple of the Simpsons cast actually dead? Will there be some techhnical jiggerypokery to "reunite' them?

Well, Billy West, the guy who does the voice of Fry and Zap Brannigan on FUTURAMA (and the voice of STIMPY, fact fans) can do a pretty spot-on Phil Hartman impersonation, but I think his characters are more likely to remain seen-but-not-heard, y'know? Same for Doris Grau's characters, too.
